Reverend Geoffrey P. Evans


Reverend Geoffrey (Geoff) Evans became the fifth rector of Holy Trinity in the spring of 2014. Before his time at Holy Trinity, Geoff served as Assistant to the Rector for Worship, Christian Education, Young Adults, and Family Ministries at Saint Mary’s on the Highland’s in Birmingham, Alabama. He currently serves on the board of Camp McDowell in the Episcopal Diocese of Alabama. Following his undergraduate studies at University of Alabama at Birmingham, Geoff worked for Impact Alabama as a debate coach in the Birmingham City Schools. 

Reverend Robert H. Blackwell

Assistant Rector

    The Rev. Robert (Bob) Blackwellwas born and raised in Decatur, Alabama, where he married his childhood sweetheart “Kay”. They have been married for 39 years, and have 3 married children and 5 grandchildren. Bob is a graduate of Auburn University, and Nashotah Theological Seminary. He has served as a parish priest in the Diocese of Alabama for the past 32 years, as well as being a missionary in Damascus, Syria where he served All Saints Episcopal Church for the Diocese of Jerusalem. After retirement, 2 years ago, he has served as Interim Rector at Christ Episcopal Church, Fairfield, AL and Christ Church, Pensacola, FL. He is also enjoying time with his grandchildren, traveling, fishing and eating out! Bob and Kay have made their home in Cullman, Alabama, but are very much looking forward to re-settling in Auburn.
